"Sana is very outgoing and promises to bring this new spirit into her role as executive director," said Dick Bradshaw, Chamber president. "I am excited about the choice and know Sana is the type of individual who will move the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce forward."

Booker served as executive director of the Hannah Center in Lafayette from 2002 to June 2006. Before that she was employed by Purdue University, working two years as a residential life manager and three years as a general manager of a graduate house.

She is active in the Lafayette community, where she resides. She is board chairperson for disaster services with the American Red Cross and serves on the board of directors for New Directions, Habitat for Humanity, and Mental Health of America. She has completed several leadership training courses, including Leadership Lafayette.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from DePaul University, Chicago, in 1979.

Bradshaw said that a reception and "get to know you" session for Chamber members and the public will be held at a later date.
