Camden "Camden, a Town of Loyalty and Pride" is the theme of the Camden Youth Day Parade to be held Saturday. The parade will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a full day of activities at the park. The parade committee includes Susan Kleckner, Nicole Pearson, Barb Rude, and Carla Spitznagle. Camden American Legion Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Legion Home. Hostesses will be Cindi Chapman and Maylana Wertz. Volunteer firefighters will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Fireman's Lounge. Blood pressure checks will be given Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Fireman's Lounge. Mount Zion Lodge will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Masonic Temple. The committee planning the town's upcoming 175th anniversary celebration will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the United Methodist Church. Camden Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the community building. Registration is under way through Friday for the Summer Reading Program at the Camden Jackson Township Public Library. This year's theme is "Pioneer Days, Journey on a Wagon Train." Storytime and special programs will be held every Wednesday at 1 p.m. A separate program is available for students in sixth through eighth grades. The first Storytime at the library will be June 6 at 1:30 p.m. The program is "Packing Our Bags and Quilts." The library will have a book sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 2 on Camden Youth Day. Community Bible School will be held June 4-7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. A foot care clinic will be held at 3 p.m. June 7 in the Senior Citizens' Lounge. Dorcas Missionary Society of the Baptist Church will meet at 6:30 p.m. June 7 in Carroll Manor. Hostesses will be Anna Case and Carol Briggs. |
