Sen. Hershman praised for voting record

Nearly every time a roll call vote came up in the Indiana Senate this year, Sen. Brandt Hershman (R-Wheatfield) was there.

Hershman posted a 99.6 percent voting record during the 115th Indiana General Assembly, an accomplishment praised by Senate President Pro-Tem David Long (R-Fort Wayne).

"One of the top jobs of a legislator is to voice the best interest of constituents and our state by casting vital votes," Long said. "This is often much easier said than done. There are meetings, visitors and many other activities occurring simultaneously. Senator Hershman has shown his commitment to the citizens he represents by compiling another outstanding voting attendance record."

Hershman missed just three votes this year out of 554 cast.
