Area IV receives funding for community services programs

Area IV Agency on Aging and Community Services Inc., has received a Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) to fund community services and activities. The services address issues such as employment, education, housing, self-sufficiency, nutrition, health, and emergency services.

The award was in the amount of $380,522.

"These awards will help agencies provide vital services to lowincome Hoosiers across the state," said Lt. Governor Becky Skillman. "This is just one of many ways we are working with local officials to improve the quality of life and the economic opportunity for all citizens and communities throughout Indiana."

Nearly $2 million in additional funding for community services program were awarded to 24 community action groups serving all 92 Indiana counties by the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority.

Area IV serves Carroll, Clinton, Tippecanoe and White counties.
