Green is in
The structure long known as "the green bridge" on Meridian Line Road near SR 218 now lives up to its name. Before being recently painted, the pony truss bridge was mostly rust-color. Carroll County Highway Supt. Ron Francis said the new coat of paint and some structural repair work came about as part of the overall bridge maintenance schedule. A painting contractor put a tent over the bridge before sandblasting in order to meet environmental guidelines for reclaiming the old paint.
