Walters
EFFIE JONES of Flora was honored by the Indiana University Kokomo School of Business during a May 4 luncheon. An accounting major, she received the Indiana CPA Society Award.

Carroll County students who received bachelor of arts degrees from Wabash College on May 13 during the 169th commencement exercise were STERLING CARTER and JEFFREY WILLIAMS.

Carter, an English/theater double major, is the son of Byron and Wydham Carter of Flora. He graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Williams, a psychology major, is the son of Dr. John and Debby Williams, formerly of Delphi.

The Wabash College dean's list for the spring 2007 semester has been announced. Two students from Flora are among the 274 dean's list students who maintained a 3.5 grade point average or better on a 4.0 point scale . They are STERLING CARTER and CORY NORMAN.

KAYLA A. WALTERS of Killeen, Texas, will graduate Sunday from Ellison High School in Killeen, Texas. Following graduation she will move to Indiana where she will attend Ivy Tech

Community College School of Nursing, Lafayette. She is the daughter of Mike and Kelly (Carver) Walters of Killeen and the granddaughter of Rob and Carol Baker of Flora. Her great-grandparents are Carl and Millie Baker of Flora.

SCOTT MANNING graduated with high distinction receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the honors program of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He plans to go to IU for one more year to finish out his masters degree before starting his job at KPMG, LLP in Indianapolis. He is the son of Paul and Sue Manning of Bringhurst.

BARBARA J. RUDE of Avon graduated from Ivy Tech Community College, Greencastle, with an associate degree in nursing. The ceremony was held May 3 at Hulman Center, Terre Haute.

She is the daughter of Frances Voorhees McGill of Flora and Max Rude of Camden.
