Carroll County Mini 4-H Day

Second-graders and their parents are invited to the annual Mini 4-H Fun Day June 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the 4- H Community Building in Flora. The program includes many fun hands-on events such as dogs, bicycles, crafts, fire safety and bubbles. The workshop is free of charge. Members should bring a sack lunch. Drinks are provided. Create Powerful Posters

A poster workshop will be May 30 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the 4-H Community Building in Flora. All poster project members and their parents are invited to attend. Workshop topics will include generating ideas, design (lettering, colors, and dimension), backing and covering with plastic (how to do it yourself). This will be a hands-on workshop where members will get to try out various techniques. Members should bring scissors and a ruler. Call the extension office at (765) 564-3169 to pre-register. Cake decorating workshop

New cake decorating techniques will be demonstrated at a workshop May 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the 4-H Community Building in Flora. Jennifer Frey will demonstrate how to ice cake forms. Members should bring green and white icing. Other cake decorating workshops will be June 5 and 21. 4-H collections workshop

Members of the 4-H Collections project should plan to attend a workshop May 30 and June 7 at 7 p.m. in the 4-H Community Building in Flora. Bring project books and questions. Tractor driving workshop

The 4-H Tractor Leader will hold Tractor Workshops May 29 and June 25 at 7 p.m. in the 4-H Community Building in Flora. Those attending should bring their project book to both meetings.
