Meetings Delphi Chamber of Commerce met May 14. Bob Rauscher and Phil Hodson presented an advertising opportunity regarding vinyl banners that can be hung from downtown poles. The next directors meeting will be June 11 at the Chamber office, 113 S. Washington St., Suite 1. Enter using the rear entrance of the Downtowner building. Delphi Tri Kappa The Associate Chapter of Tri Kappa held the last meeting of the season May 8 at Solomon's Grille. New officers were installed by Susan Trueblood, president of the Gamma Alpha chapter. It was suggested the scholarship fund for which change is collected each meeting should be added to the budget. Project committee will donate funds to the school nurse for Delphi and Camden students' supplies. Pat Duff was recognized for needlework she displayed at the state convention. Members voted to take over the Bridge-A-Rama project in the future. Members who fed the birthday pig were Patsy McCammack, Joan Maxwell and Helen Schilling. Outgoing president Earlene Alvarez was presented a hanging basket, donated by Janie Smith. Classy Classics EH Twelve members of the Classy Classics Extension Homemakers Club met in Kokomo to tour the Designers Showhome and have dinner afterward. The members have enjoyed this annual event for several years. The next meeting is scheduled for June 11 with lunch in Delphi and visiting points of interest there. Pat Rodgers, president, and Kathy Northcutt will be co-hostesses. |
