Special Olympians compete in area games

Carroll County Special Olympics athletes competed Saturday in the area track, field and bocce event held at North Montgomery High School.

Earning first place awards were Stephan, Bethany and Jesse Cadwallader, Shawnda Gidel, Joshua and Jessica Hartman, Emily Downham, Ciera and Destiny Lucas, Doug Mc- Carty, Ron Rice, Shawna Sherman, Cary Walters and Diana Williams.

Thirty-nine athletes and volunteers will be attending the state games to be held June 1- 3 at Indiana State University, Terre Haute.
