ASHLEY KAY WAGONER participated in the 149th commencement at Ball State University on May 5. She received a bachelor of

science degree

in elem entar y education with a minor in psychology of human development.

While at Ball State, she was active in Phi Mu sorority, where she held the office of new member educator and was active with the opening committee. She also was a reading tutor at Motivate Our Minds, where she worked with at-risk children.

She is a 2003 graduate of Delphi Community High School. She is the daughter of Roger and Julie Beckner of Flora and the late Ronald J. Wagoner.

Two students from Carroll County were among the 1,700 students who received degrees during graduation ceremonies April 28 at Indiana Wesleyan University. They are: APRIL RAE COOK, Flora, Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, and JOY D. RATCLIFF, Bringhurst, Bachelor of Science degree in management.

JUSTIN SCOTT RAISOR graduated May 13 from Wabash College, Crawfordsville, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He played on the Little Giants football team and was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He is the son of Scott and Edna Raisor of Camden.

ADAM BONNER, a senior at Carroll High School, will be recognized at the 15th annual Sportsmanship Banquet at Benton Central Jr.-Sr. High School.

Each of the 19 Benton Central boys' and girls' varsity sports chose an athlete that they have competed against this year who they feel has shown outstanding sportsmanship. Bonner is among this group of athletes being honored at the banquet. He was chosen for his sportsmanship in boys' swimming.

The banquet will be May 20. Dave Shondell, volleyball coach at Purdue, will be the guest speaker.

Bonner is the son of Rob and Brenda Bonner of Flora.

BILLY BROWN II graduated from the Purdue College of Technology with a certificate in organiza- tional leadership and supervision.

A 1998

graduate of Carroll High School, he is the son of Carl and Robbynne Brown of Bringhurst.

JENNIFER MYERS of Camden graduated with honors and obtained a Master of Science degree in nursing and a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner degree from Indiana School of Nursing in Indianapolis last week.

Myers
Myers worked as a nurse in the neonatal department of Lafayette Home Hospital for the past seven years. She will now be a nurse practitioner at Riley Hospital Newborn Intensive Care Unit in Indianapolis.

Myers and her husband, Chad, have two children, Coy and Mackinzie.

NATHANIEL HEBER of Delphi was awarded the Indiana University County Fee Remission Scholarship for 2006-07 academic year. The meritbased scholarship is awarded to Indiana residents and pays for 88 percent of I.U. Bloomington credit hour fees.

Heber also received the Elfrieda Lang Award for outstanding scholastic achievement. Each year one honors student is selected from the school's history department to receive the award.
Heber
