Northwest Carroll

The summer reading program's annual pizza party will be held June 1. The library opens at noon and sign-ups for summer reading begin at 12:30 p.m.

The library has recently received new adult and youth books.

Camden

Spring "Reminisce Day" will be held May 23 at 9:30 a.m. at the library. The gathering is an opportunity to talk about the "good old days." Bring old photos to share. Everyone is welcome.

Plans are being made for the Summer Reading Program. This year's theme is "Pioneer Days, Journey on a Wagon Train." Children may register from May 29 through June 2. 20KS-DPL news

Delphi

Visit the library during Coffee Beat May 19 at 7 p.m. for an evening of acoustic music, with a soulful edge, by local acoustic duo Companion.

Companion performs a variety of musical tunes from rock and gospel covers to original instrumental and vocal compositions. Music and coffee are free. Desserts are available for a nominal fee.

Auditions for the library's Red Brick Theatre production of Cinderella will be held June 4 from 3 to 6 p.m. and June 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. The cast will include six female and two male principles with several roles for chorus and featured characters.

The musical will be performed Aug. 3 and 5 at DCHS Little Theatre. Call the library to arrange a rehearsal time.

Sign up June 4 during regular business hours for the 2007 Summer Reading Program "Get A Clue." Children in kindergarten through grade six will be treated to weekly programs, activities, games, and a whole lot of fun.

The library will be closed May 28 for Memorial Day and re-open May 29 with the following summer business hours:

+ Mon. - Thurs. 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.;

+ Fri. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and

+ Sat. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Flora-Monroe Township

The library will be closed until noon this Friday for staff training.

Free art classes are being offered the month of June for students finishing grade kindergarten through adult. The grade school classes will be held on Tuesdays and teen through adult will be Thursday evenings.

Registration is required for the classes; walk-ins will be welcome if there is room. The instructor will need to be informed if you cannot attend a class after registering.

"It's All About the Circus" art classes are designed and taught by Grace Woodruff. Art class students must be signed up for summer reading before registering for the classes. Sign-up for summer reading and art classes begins May 21.

Check out the display by artist Corey Black in the young adult area of the library. Corey is a self-taught artist who credits his mom for encouraging his artistry. He is a 2007 graduate of Carroll High School. The drawings will be on display through the month of May.

Book club meets this Saturday at 10 a.m. to discuss "Digital Fortress" by Dan Brown.

The theme for next storytime is "Pizza." Storytime is Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.
