Julia Marie Gurnitz of Pimento and Corey Michael Sass of Flora announce their engagement. The couple plans to wed in spring 2008 in Monticello.

The bride-elect is the daughter of John and Jody Gurnitz of Pimento. She is a 2000 graduate of North Central High School and is employed at State Farm Insurance Operations Center in West Lafayette.

Her fiancé is the son of Stan and Angie Long of Flora and Donald and Cheryl Sass of Tyler, Texas. He is a 2002 graduate of Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School. He is on active duty as a U.S. wMarine security guard at the United States Embassy.
