The summer reading program's grand kickoff was at Carroll Elementary School this morning (Wednesday) with Silly Safari's Under the Big Top featuring Jungle John.

The library would like to thank principal Carolyn O'Connell for hosting the event at the school. The library's summer reading program, "It's All About the Circus!" will take place from June 4-July 20.

Registration for summer reading will start May 21. There will be lots of fun things to do at the library this summer. A marionette puppet show, storytellers, a real "Noisy Guy," and a movie matinee are all coming to the library. Free art classes will be offered made possible with grants from the Tippecanoe Arts Federation and the Carroll County Community Foundation. The grand finale will be of epic proportions as we celebrate the release of the last Harry Potter book. Watch the library column for more details.

The theme for next storytime is "Monkeys." We will have fun monkeying around with fun stories including the most famous of all monkeys, "Curious George." Join us for preschool storytime Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.

Kids can listen to Dial-a- Story 24 hours a day. The current story is "The Stars in the Sky." Friday the story will change to "Prometheus and His Great Gift." Call Dial-AStory, 967-3814.
