EH awards are presented at Friends Day

Extension Homemakers Friends' Day and EH achievements were celebrated April 19 at the Burlington Community Building.

The day's activities were sponsored by Carroll County Farm Bureau, Carroll County Extension Homemakers, and Purdue Extension - Carroll County Office.

Cindy Barnett, CFS Educator in Whitley County, presented a program on "What's New in Your Wallet?" Susie Dyke from the Grapevine Boutique in Flora presented a style show, highlighting Mar- Tique handbags.

The Tonsil Klackers entertained in the afternoon.

The following Achievement Awards were given:

Honor Clubs recognized were Adams Township, Aim Hi, Carrollton Cardinals, Classy Classics, Clay Harmony, Contemporary Collections, Dolly Madison, Double Dozen, Forty Niners, Friendly Circle, Liberty Bells, Modern's, Rock Creek, and Silver Bells.

The club with the highest honor club points was Double Dozen.

Margaret Childers was recognized for her 50 years of membership.

The Volunteer Angel Club Award was won by the Adams Township EH Club.

Each club chose a member to receive an Angel Award. Winners were: Aim Hi - Wilma Jean Willy; Adams Township - Pam Munsterman; Classy Classics - Loretta Lambert; Double Dozen - Barb Dillon; Forty Niners - Karen Miller; Silver Bells - Helen Ennis.

The overall Volunteer Angel winner was Pam Munsterman. She was given a Willow Tree Angel.

Members who succeeded at perfect attendance were:

ADAMS TOWNSHIP: Pam Munsterman and Betty Taskey, 1 year; Barb Roller, 2 years.

AIM HI: Carolyn Edging, and Joan Rogers, 1 year; Donna Swayze, 5 years.

CARROLLTON CARDINALS: Jane Edging and Rosalie Seward, 1 year; Debbie Monticue, 3 years.

CLASSY CLASSICS: Judy Downham, 2 years; Melverine Hufty, Loretta Lambert, Kathy Northcutt, Pat Rodgers, and Mary Anna Scott, 1 year.

CONTEMPORARY COLLECTIONS: Pam Beck and Pam Michael, 1 year.

DOLLY MADISON: Janice Frey, 1 year.

DOUBLE DOZEN: Helen Forgey, 5 years; Mary Ellen Johnson, 1 year; Elizabeth Mylet, 4 years; Wilma Robeson, 2 years.

FRIENDLY CIRCLE: Rose Pullen, 5 years; Donnabelle Myer, 3 years; Margaret Sibbitt, 2 years; Pat Witter and Thelma Myer, 1 year.

MODERN'S: Ruth Anderson, 2 years; Betty Huffman, 3 years; Barbara Sterrett, 1 year.

ROCK CREEK TOWNSHIP: Marjorie Been, 1 year; Wiladean Snoeberger, 4 years.

SILVER BELLS: Marsha Grotrian, 1 year.

Susan McKinney, a new member, was recognized with an IEHA pin. Debbie Kingery was her sponsor and received a "BEE an IEHA Member" pin.

Door prizes were provided

by Aim Hi, Carrollton Cardinals, and Double Dozen EH

clubs, and the Extension Office.
