Delphi The last storytime this school year will be May 9 and the theme is Garden Fun. Children's librarian Marcia Sledd is busy planning and preparing the 2007 six-week Summer Reading program, "Get a Clue," for grades kindergarten to six.

An exhibition of students' work from the Tuesday Afternoon Drawing Studio will be displayed May 16 to June 6. Twelve artists, ages eight through adult, have contributed to the many pencil, colored pencil and pen and ink drawings. A mural and collabritive effort, entitled "Main Street Delphi," will be included.

The opening reception is May 16 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Exhibiting artists are: Emma Germond, Clara Germond, Alisa Germond, Susannah Germond, Rebecca Etter, Eli Etter, Rebecca McVay, Kyla Beery, Kayleen Baker, Noah Reed, Charlotte Moppin and Thomas Glenn.

Aspiring genealogists will not want to miss the May 18 "Ancestry Library Edition," genealogy database. Learn how to research a variety of online databases and library resources from 10 to 11:30 a.m. with staff member Rose Hoshaw. Call (765) 564-2929 to register.

Flora-Monroe Township

After almost three years, we are saying goodbye to student assistant Sarah Schnieb. Library staff and patrons will miss Sarah; we wish her much success and happiness. Sarah is a graduating senior at Carroll High School. She will attend Indiana University at Kokomo to study nursing.

Take a break while you're in the library - visit the Book Nook Coffee Shop. Hot coffee and tea, ice cold soda, and even candy bars to munch on! Grab a book, newspaper or magazine; then relax and refresh without leaving the building! The Book Nook is open during library operating hours.

The Saturday Morning Book Club will meet on May 19 to discuss "Digital Fortress" by Dan Brown, a masterful techno-thriller by the author of the number one bestseller "The DaVinci Code." "Digital Fortress" is a gripping story on the frontier of cyberspace that explores the frighteningly delicate line between defending us and controlling us. New members are always welcome.

The theme for next storytime is "Mother's Day." Old King Cole was a merry old soul, especially when he went to the library! Classic Mother Goose tales and stories about Mom will be at storytime on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.

Dial-a-Story is available 24 hours a day, providing story fun for small children. The current story is "My Own Self." On Friday the story will change to "The Stars in the Sky." Call Dial-A-Story, 967-3814.
