Dan and Rachel Reedy of Flora announce the engagement of their daughter, Jaimee Rachelle, to Mark Robert Ryan of Staunton, Va.

The bride-elect graduated from Wheaton College in Illinois and teaches biology in Virginia.

Her fiancé earned his B.A. degree at Swarthmore College and his PhD in religious studies at the University of Virginia, where he now teaches. He has accepted a new position as an assistant professor at Georgian Court University in New York.

They will be married May 27 in Charlottesville, Va., and this summer will move to Lakewood, N.J.
