Delphi Police Department

April 13 - Property damage, Swifty's Gas Station. James L. Helms, 60, Delphi and a parked vehicle. Sgt. Brook McCain investigated.

April 13, 12:16 p.m. - Property damage, SR25 east of US421. Helen L. Yeager, 84, Camden, and Thomas J. Avery, 69, Burlington. McCain investigated.

April 16, 4:34 p.m. - Warrant service, Trailhead Park on SR25. Delores Hanseleman, 30, Lafayette, was cited for traffic infraction and served with an active Tippecanoe County warrant. Officer Justin Wilson investigated.

April 17, 6:14 p.m. - Warrant service, 421 S. Armory Rd. Tracy Claiborne, 46, Camden, was stopped for traffic infraction and served with an active Fountain County warrant. Wilson investigated.

April 18, 1 a.m. - Battery, 100 block Front St. Joshua Lytle reported being battered by three unknown assailants. Officer Paul Vondrasek investigated.

April 19, 11:44 p.m. - Public intoxication/ minor consumption, SR25 at CR 300N. Jere Hill, 20, Lafayette, was arrested for minor consumption and public intoxication. Hill was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for traffic infraction. Wilson investigated.

April 19 - Theft of utilities, Union St. NIPSCO reported a possible meter bypass for approximately seven years. Investigated by Chief Ed Chapman.

April 20, 8:17 a.m. - Stalking/trespass, Delphi Community High School. Gustavo Turner, 20 ordered off school grounds and issued a No Trespass order after attempting to make contact with a 17-year-old female student. Vondrasek investigated.

April 23, 4:35 a.m. - Runaway, Market St. After being reported as a runaway, youth was located at Trailhead Park and returned to parents' custody. Officer David Yeager investigated.

April 21, 2:45 p.m. - Car/pedestrian, Franklin and Hamilton streets. Marcia Rhine, 49, Brookston, struck Jesus Villagrana Jicobo, 3, Delphi, when he ran into Franklin St. from behind a parked car. Child was transported by ambulance to Lafayette Home Hospital with head injuries and was admitted for observation. Vondrasek investigated.

April 10, 3:20 p.m. - Property damage, 6775 CR100N. Joel Lopez, 23, Lafayette, and Wayne Akers, 51, Monticello. Deputy Mike Thomas investigated.

April 16, 8:15 a.m. - Criminal mischief, 200 block CR250S and CR800W. Vehicle owner Travis Smith told authorities he purposely damaged four county-owned signs and two mailboxes with vehicle. Report forwarded to prosecutor's office. Deputy Grant Davidson investigated.

April 16, 11:37 p.m. - Property damage/leaving the scene, 100 block N. Goslee. Andrew J. Ball, 20, arrested for leaving the scene after crashing a car through a garage door at the family residence. Deputy Tony Liggett investigated.

April 17, 8:19 a.m. - Criminal mischief, 200 block Main St., Camden. Pay phone was damaged at TDS building. Deputy John Chapman investigated.

April 18, 9:30 a.m. - Theft, 10500 block US421. Medications reported stolen. Sgt. Dennis Randle investigated.

April 19, 9:51 p.m. - Domestic battery, 2400 block CR750S. Raymond Elsea, 62, Frankfort, arrested for domestic battery. Victim treated for minor injuries. Deputy Zachary Hall investigated.

April 19, 11:55 p.m. - Assisting another agency, E. Main St. During traffic stop, a juvenile was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. Hall investigated.

April 20, 7:45 a.m. - Property damage with injury, CR500W at CR775S. Anthony C. Landreth, 18, Rossville and Sidney M. Crume, 16, Rossville. Landreth cited for failure to yield. Crume complained of pain in lower arm or elbow. Chapman investigated.

April 20, 11:57 a.m. - Criminal mischief, 11000 block Quiet Waters. Chapman investigated.

April 20, 2:29 p.m. - Burglary, 600 block CR500N. Richard Fassnacht reported home entry with items missing. Maj. Tobe Leazenby investigated.

April 20, 6:10 p.m. - Theft, 1700 block US421. Report by Reborn Auto Sales. Liggett investigated.

April 21, 12:30 a.m. - Property damage, CR 900W. at CR 550S. Michael J. Wilson, 35, Lafayette. Driver tested .04 BrAC. Tippecanoe County arrested driver for leaving the scene. Davidson investigated.

April 21, 1:56 a.m. - Illegal possession of alcohol by minor, Knop Lake. Robert D. Perry, 18, Kokomo was arrested for illegal possession of alcohol and a 17 year-old juvenile from Bringhurst was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol. Liggett investigated.

April 21, 3:12 p.m. - Burglary, 7900 block Sandy Beach Rd. Davidson investigated.

April 22, 3:38 a.m. - Leaving scene/property damage, 4100 block CR300N. Annie E. Embry, 40, Delphi, arrested for OWI and leaving scene. Liggett investigated.

April 22, 6:15 p.m. - Information report, 200 block Main St. Report of dog bite. Liggett investigated.

April 19, 6 p.m. - Porfirio Ortegon, 53, Flora, was arrested on a Howard County warrant for failure to appear. Redmon and Larimore investigated.

April 19, 6:55 p.m. - A hit and run crash was reported in Bringhurst. A vehicle crashed into a utility pole and left the scene. Larimore investigated.

April 19, 7:41 p.m. - A juvenile complaint was taken at 211 1/2 N. Center St. Larimore investigated.

April 19, 8:45 p.m. - A report of criminal trespass was taken at 211 N. Center St. Larimore investigated.

April 21. 2:54 a.m. - Two male juveniles were charged with making an over pressure device. Officer Josh Disinger investigated.

April 21, 10:59 a.m. - Troy G. Roddell, 42, Flora, lost control of his moped and crashed near the intersection of S. Center and Catherine streets. Roddell was treated at the scene by Carroll County EMS and flown to Wishard Hospital by PHI Helicopter. Officer Mark Thomas investigated.

April 22, 8:45 p.m. - A harassment report was taken at 120 E. Elizabeth St. Disinger investigated.

April 23, 6:40 p.m. - A juvenile male was arrested for theft of utilities at Flora-Monroe Public Library. Sgt. James Bishop investigated.
