Burlington Community

Burlington Community Library has extended its hours. The library will be open until 7 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday. Library director, Gina Tull-Nunn, will no longer be in the office in the mornings; instead, she will be at the library from 5 to 7 p.m. on most Tuesdays and Thursdays. Anyone who would like to get in touch with her at other times should leave their name and number at the desk or by calling 765-566-3166 and she will return the call at her earliest convenience.

The Senior Materials Enrichment Program is going well. The library keeps some books at the Senior Center for those who use the center and exchanges them once a month. Plus, the library now has 12 of the 18 books provided through a large print publishing house. There have also been several book donations by library patrons.

The Carroll County Community Foundation contributed $500 to the library's Senior Materials Enrichment Program. As materials are received and processed for the program, they will join the other materials on the "new book" shelf. Coming are books on tape and VHS or DVD movies.

This summer the library will again have a children's reading program. The summer reading program will introduce the kids to various occupations by people locally and around the world.
