Huseman is Leader of Tomorrow finalist

Twin Lakes High School senior Sydney Huseman is one of 13 finalists in the "Indiana Leaders of Tomorrow" program. As a finalist she received a $500 cash award for college and $500 for her school, a donation from EMBARQ.
The statewide "Indiana Leaders of Tomorrow" program is sponsored by EMBARQ. The Carroll County Comet and Monticello Herald Journal teamed up with EMBARQ to recognize young leaders in grades 9-12 for their leadership through community volunteerism, academic success and extracurricular activities.
Huseman was selected as a finalist for her academic excellence, strong leadership skills and her passion for working with special needs children.
She is the daughter of Martin and K a t h e r i n e H u s e m a n , Monticello,

and all those who have been nominated in this program," said Jim Wagner, EMBARQ public affairs manager. "We are pleased to be able to recognize area youth for the leadership roles they are playing and hope to encourage others to become volunteers in our community."
The statewide winner of the "Indiana Leaders of Tomorrow" program was Erin Murphy of Columbia City High School in Columbia City. A panel of judges selected Murphy as the winner from more than 200 nominations from around the state.
