TAMMY DYER, Burlington clerk-treasurer, joined approximately 50 clerk-treasurers attending the Indiana State House through the Indiana League of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers' continued education program. The group observed the inner workings of daily statehouse activity. The agenda for the day included meeting Representatives to discuss current financial issues relating to municipal government, observing the Indiana House in session, meeting with Lt. Governor Becky Skillman, and a tour of the Indiana Senate and the Indiana Supreme Court. The afternoon concluded with history of the State Capital Building.

Carroll County residents might be interested in knowing that a new Pizza King has opened in Brown County, and the owner is a native of Carroll County.

Twenty-year-old RYAN SEWARD had the grand opening of his Pizza King last Saturday.

Seward went to school in Delphi through the seventh grade, then moved to Brown County and graduated from Brown County High School in 2005.

When he lived in Delphi and later on return visits there, he always made a point to get a Pizza King pepperoni pizza. One day he decided to open his own Pizza King franchise in Nashville.

He reports a successful opening and invites Carroll County people to stop by when they're in the area.

Seward is the son of Dale Seward of Flora and Melinda Rossetter of Delphi.
