Sarah Jo Hodson

Sarah Jo Hodson, 90, of Kokomo, formerly of Burlington, died at 5:20 a.m. Wed., April 4, 2007, at Sterling House of Kokomo.

Born Sept. 13, 1916, in Howard County, she was the daughter of Jesse Edward and Grace D. Kessler Catron. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1934. On March 3, 1935, she married Issac Harry Hodson, who preceded her in death on July 4, 1998.

A homemaker, Mrs. Hodson was a former member of the Oakland Christian Church and the Burlington Quilt Club.

Surviving are four daughters, Rebecca Frey (husband: Kent) of Kokomo, Beverly Gillam (husband: Dick) of Galveston, and Sharon Barnard (husband: Charles) and Deborah Guy, both of Russiaville; a brother, Max Catron (wife: Melba) of Middlefork; special cousin, Bonnie Brown of Frankfort; son-in-law, Gary Beamer (wife: Joselle) of Talent, Oregon; daughter-in-law, Velda Lampman (husband: John) of Ocala, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Eula Catron of Middlefork; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; eight great-greatgrandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter, Shirley Beamer; a son, Ronnie Hodson; a son-in-law, Leroy Guy; two brothers, Harold Catron and Lank Catron; a sister, Catherine Byrum; two grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild.

Services were held Saturday at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Russiaville. The Rev. Harold Williams officiated and burial was at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery.
