Singers herald Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month
April is National Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Awareness Month. The fifth-grade Hillcrest Elementary Choir was on hand for an April 4 proclamation reading in the courthouse rotunda. Prevent Child Abuse Carroll County hosted the event to initiate child and family-friendly and prevention education activities throughout the month. The choir, led by music teacher Susan Trueblood, sang a short medley of patriotic tunes for courthouse employees and others to enjoy.
