Child injured in hit and run
By Debbie Lowe Staff writer

While riding his bicycle April 2 at 6:35 p.m., a fiveyear old West Delphi boy was possibly struck by a vehicle near the corner of Mill and Sixth streets. The child suffered a knot to his head and scratches on his arms and back. He was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette and later released.

Witnesses reported seeing a black sports car with "Angela" airbrushed on a front license plate near the scene of the incident. According to Carroll County Sheriff Deputy Tony Liggett, the driver of the car is being sought for information about the matter and is not necessarily a suspect.

Liggett encouraged anyone with information about the case to call him at the sheriff's office at (765) 564-2413.
