The project will be advertised, and bids will be opened at 10 a.m. on April 26.

The Advertising and Student Fundraising Policies will have their first reading at the next board meeting, and then will be adopted at the first meeting in May. The policies can be read on the corporation Web site.

The Scott Foresman reading textbook series was adopted for grades K-6.

Grant Richardson was hired as varsity swim assistant, and Patsy Bosley was hired as junior varsity cheerleading coach.

The following conference and field trips were approved:

The Carroll Elementary PTO fundraising request was approved for a Movie Night on April 20 at the school.

Elementary principal Carolyn O'Connell said the school has a new virtual weather station called Weather Hawk. The "station" is installed on the roof of the high school building to collect local weather data. Every classroom has access to the data through their computers. It will not only give up-todate weather information, but also can be used in various classrooms studies. The PTO paid for the Weather Hawk.

O'Connell also said that students will have a Chemistry Convo in the morning on April 16, and the Title I Awards Night will also be on that date.

The next board meeting will be April 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Administration Building.
