Local musical duo to perform
Musical duo Senior Class, featuring Bob Conner and Lois Powlen, will be the Coffee Beat highlight April 14. The twosome first performed together at Delphi First Presbyterian Church, where Powlen serves as organist and Conner a special music coordinator. Entertaining at local nursing homes and assisted care facilities, the pair draws from a wide variety of karaoke background music, including gospel, oldies from the '40s and '50s, plus country/western and "do you remember when" music and jokes.
