Burlington Volunteer Fire Department's annual Sausage & Pancake Breakfast will be Saturday at the fire station with serving from 6 a.m. to 12 noon. Free-will donations will be accepted.

Burlington Kiwanis Club hosted its annual Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. The club was assisted by the Carroll High School Key Club, including members Adam Bonner, Aubree Herron, Valarie Allbaugh, Anna Scharer, Riley Eller, Lindsay Stiller and Kollette Gillam. Each child received six or more plastic eggs filled with candy (totaling over 1,250 eggs), plus a sack of candy, a candy bar, solid chocolate rabbit, certificate for a free ice cream cone, and a new George Washington dollar coin. Other gifts awarded to special marked eggs were: 10 free children's breakfasts, five $5 gift certificates, six orders of bread sticks, and 25 two-liter bottles of pop. Lucky drawing winners for new bicycles were Lauren Johnson, Brayden Mote, Madison Shepherd, Kole Kirkman, Kylie Wagoner, and Branton Leazenby. 4-H Junior Leaders filled the eggs and Burlington businesses donated prizes and money for the event.

Burlington Church of Christ will have an all-church skating party Sunday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

United Methodist Women will meet at 1:30 p.m. April 12. Dr. Marilyn Wagoner will be the speaker.

Faith Church of Christ Choir will present the cantata, "The Sacrifice," at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church.
