The American Red Cross will sponsor a BLOOD DRIVE April 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Flora United Methodist Church. Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in general good health. Positive identification will be required. Delphi Presbyterian Church invites all senior citizens to the monthly COMMUNITY LUNCHEON, April 18 at noon at the church. An elevator is available for those in need. For a ride or questions, call Susan at (765) 564-2371 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

DELPHI AMERICAN LEGION POST 75 will meet April 18 at 7 p.m. in the Legion Hall. Bingo will be played.

A gala grand opening event for PRESERVING NATURE: ARTISTS PRESERVING LAND PRESERVATION, an exhibit showcasing many of the finest artists in Indiana, will be held Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Artsgarden at Circle Centre Mall, Indianapolis. Fifteen selected artists, including local artist Rena Brouwer, have two pieces each interpreting the beauty and value of the properties protected by the Central Indiana Land Trust. CARROLL COUNTY REPUBLICAN WOMEN'S CLUB will meet at 12:30 p.m. April 18 at Solomon's Grill, Delphi. Karen Powlen of the Americanism committee will provide the program. All interested Carroll County women are invited and encouraged to attend.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS WALK-A-THON will be held April 22 at 2 p.m. This event is a fundraiser to send 32 athletes and adults to the State Games June 1-3. The cost this year will be $80 per athlete and adult. For more information or to make a contribution, contact Mary McCarty at 765-268-2295.

Burlington Volunteer Fire Department's annual SAUSAGE & PANCAKE BREAKFAST will be Saturday at the fire station, with serving from 6 a.m. to 12 noon. Free-will donations will be accepted.

Carroll County YMCA

CHEER AND TUMBLE classes will be offered April 17 through May 22. The cheerleading/gymnastics classes are offered in three age groups, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. For more information, call the YMCA, 574-967-4449.

The deadline has been extended for those interested in attending the annual meeting and banquet of the CANAL SOCIETY OF INDIANA at the Canal Center in Delphi on May 5. Registration forms are available at the registration desk at the Canal Center and will be available at the Carroll County Wabash & Erie Canal Association's annual meeting April 17. That will be the last day to register. Pre-registration is required.
