EH Friends Day to include handbag program, awards

Carroll County Extension Homemakers' Friends Day and presentation of Achievement Awards will be April 19 at the Burlington Community Building.

With an overall theme of "What's 'Handi' in Handbags?", the event is sponsored by Carroll County Farm Bureau, Carroll County Extension Homemakers, and Purdue Extension-Carroll County.

The day will include morning programs and an afternoon musical performance. The complete schedule is listed below.

9:30 a.m. - Registration for Cultural Arts and registration for the day.

10 a.m. - "What's New in Your Wallet?" by Cindy Barnett, CFS Educator.

10:45 a.m. - Club awards, recognitions.

11:15 a.m. - Style show featuring purses made by women in Southeast Asia. The presenter is Susie Dyke of the Grapevine Boutique.

Noon - lunch.

1 p.m. - Angel Awards, Cultural Arts Awards.

1:15 p.m. - Musical performance.

The event is open to the public. Call the Extension Office by April 13 to register.
