A Carroll County native is coming home to practice medicine.
Dr. Mark A. Meyer has joined Dr. Thomas Anderson in his independent family physician medical practice in Camden.
A 1977 graduate of Carroll High School, Dr. Meyer is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Bruce Meyer of Flora.
He is a 1985 graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine and has a special interest in geriatrics.
Dr. Meyer, who has been living in Indianapolis and resided one year in Philadelphia, said he is ready to get away from the big city. Family ties and friends have led him to come back home. He said he is also looking forward to devoting some time to canoeing and fishing.

A variety of weather patterns came with the arrival of April, causing widespread damage throughout Carroll County.
High winds and tornadoes hit late Friday and early Saturday, causing heavy damage-just eight years to the day after neighboring Monticello and Rochester were struck by tornadoes.
Then Monday a heavy unseasonable snowstorm blanketed the area with six inches of snow, slowing traffic to a crawl and causing many vehicles to slide off the roadways.
At least two people were hurt when a tornado touched down at C.R. 650S. and 800W., destroying eight mobile homes at Wildcat Creek Campgrounds, near Knop Lake.

The Delphi basketball team certainly made a lot of friends over Kokomo way during the last two weeks at the Sectional and Regional.
Souvenir copies of the Kokomo Tribune giving pictures and stories of the Saturday games are available at the Delphi Journal.
Also available is a set of car keys that could be valuable to the owner.

What most all school kids usually desire happened Wednesday when the West Delphi school house burned to the ground. Fire started from a defective flue and was discovered by Ray Morrow, a student there. The twenty-five scholars and teacher, Katherine McCain, escaped uninjured. The building was only one room and a frame building. It was insured. The school board has under consideration a house in West Delphi which will probably be fixed into a school building for the rest of the year. Definite decision will be made Thursday. Next year the children will probably be brought to Delphi, although this has not been definitely decided.

Wm. C. Smith, of Delphi, has purchased a modern engine to do his plowing this year, which, if it proves successful, bids fair to revolutionize farm work in this county. It will do the work of several teams.
Mayor Cochran's court at Delphi will be a busy place today as there will be a parade of the saloon keepers into his court to answer to the charge of violating the Coble liquor ordinance which has caused so much bitter feeling the past few weeks. The Mayor says he will enforce the ordinance to the letter.
