Gish's team wins state title

Howard County's Northwestern Tigers won the IHSAA Class 2A Boys Basketball Championship Saturday with a 78-74 double overtime victory over Winchester. The Tigers are coached by Carroll graduate and Deer Creek resident Jim Gish.

This was the school's first state championship and a special victory celebration welcomed the team Saturday night at the school.
