Gearing up for the big parade

Delphi Lions Club met March 21 to begin organizing the annual Independence Day Parade.

Bob Conner and Dick Bradshaw were named parade cocoordinators. Scott Brosman will head the parade route/amenities committee, Terry Callender will direct Purdue/street activities, Terry Beach registration/parade position/ judging/ awards, Bob Arney, route monitors/golf carts/convertibles, Darrell Noonkester, city agencies/parade parking alternatives, Brad Fisher, bands, lawn entertainment/courthouse restrooms, Ed Sholty, floats/trolley/cars/personalities.

Co-coordinators Conner and Bradshaw will lead the committee to manage publicity, sound systems and reviewing stand.

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. on July 7.
