There is a small fee for this course. Every year, more than 500,000 entrepreneurs start new businesses in the United States. But how and where to they get the resources and support it takes to succeed? The answer is at your library. This spring, the Flora Public Library, the American Library Association and Woman's Day magazine want to know how people in our community have used the library to start their small businesses. From now until May 10, women entrepreneurs over the age of 18 can email their story in 700 words or less to womansday@ala.org. Four stories will be featured in the March 2008 issue of the magazine. For more information and for the official rules, visit www.womansday. com/ala. There will be no storytime next week during spring break. Storytime will return April 3. The library's Dial-a-Story is open 24 hours a day. The current story playing is, "The Little Hero." The story beginning Friday will be, "Jack Hannaford." Call Dial-a-Story at 967-3814. |
