Delphi high school blood drive sets records

Records were set in volunteer participation and collection totals at the 12th annual Delphi Community High School blood drive held earlier this month. Donations of 131 productive units were received from 161 volunteer participants, an increase of 21 donations over last year. Each volunteer received a free tee shirt from the Indiana Blood Center.

The drive was organized by National Honor Society (NHS) sponsor Linda Tyner and NHS committee members Michael Atwood, Britney LaFollette, Tom Walton, Brianne Stauffer, Brandi Brown, Brittany Tyner, Amanda Spurgeon, Kylee German, Kayleigh Morgan, Amanda Schultz and Lauren Stokdyk.

The set-up committee included NHS members Michael Carbaugh, Matt Lewis, Kyle Bender, Alex Conner and Shane Evans.

Refreshments were provided by local businesses, including Monical's Pizza and Bassett and Talbert.
