Monroe Achievers

Monroe Achievers 4-H Club met recently and elected officers: They are: Jennifer Hardyniec, president; Courtney Rinehart, vice president; Kristen Myer, secretary; Michael Myer, treasurer; Weston Rinehart, reporter; Ryan Spesard, health and safety; Neil Benson, demonstrations; and Adam Bonner, recreation leader.

Deer Creek Delphiniums

Deer Creek Delphiniums 4-H Club met on March 1. Brent Kremer explained the 4-H pledge to new members. Danielle Kelley and Hannah Darling led the pledges. 4-Hers brought seed packets for their service project.

There were two demonstrations. Brooke Beale brought her dog, Penny, and demonstrated exercises from the dog obedience project. Hannah Darling brought a rabbit and explained the rabbit program.

The club voted to pay for the 2007 Reserve Grand Champion trophy for the Pocket Pet project.

Dues are $12 for each member and must be paid before project books can be released. Project books will be available at the next meeting.

The next meeting will be on March 22, between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. It will be an open meeting, which means that 4-Hers can come and leave when they choose. During the meeting, 4- Hers can bring projects to demonstrate and learn about new projects that others bring to share.

Burlington Wildcats

Burlington Wildcats 4-H Club met recently and elected officers. They are: Jackie Combs, president; Allie Combs, first vice president; Tony Ashenfelter, second vice president; Crystal Keck, secretary; Kara Overholser, treasurer; Jacob Mullins, Kylie Wagoner, Jessica Sorensen, and Storm Dreadfulwater, recreation; Trey Overholser, Tasheena Bousum and Bryce Bousum, health and safety; and Katie Nichols, song leader.

Llama Workshop

Learn about a llama project at the 4-H Llama Workshop to be held March 23 and April 5 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the 4-H Community Building in Flora. 4-H members should take their project books. Anyone who would like to join the project but does not have a llama or alpaca, contact Jodi Mellinger at the Purdue Extension Office, (765) 564-3169 about "leasing a llama or alpaca."
