Wednesday Forum

Members of Wednesday Forum met in March at the home of Jerry Landes.

The lesson was a quiz about movie celebrities presented by Lois Kueker.

Nancy Biederwolf reviewed "Inspiring Stories of Women Who Made a Difference in Their Children and Their Work." The book is a collection of short stories about influential figures such as Condaleeza Rice, Carrie ten Boom and Julia Child.

Delphi Odd Fellows

Delphi Odd Fellows Lodge 28 hosted an enrollment ceremony March 17 at the Lodge home at 209 S. Washington St. in Delphi. The degree team that performed the ceremony was comprised of members from throughout the state.

Habitat for Humanity

Carroll County Habitat for Humanity met March 6 at Camden United Methodist Church.

Members decided to join the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.

The family selection committee recommended a partner family for the 2007 Body of Christ Build. The recommendation will be presented to the Lafayette Board for approval.

A member will discuss Habitat at St. Joseph's Catholic Church April 14 and 15.

Judie Peters was named event and parade coordinator.

The next meeting will be April 14 at 11:30 a.m. at the Lafayette Habitat Discount Home Center and office. Members should meet at Terry Callender's barn at 9 a.m. to help load materials. A tour and lunch will be provided before the meeting. Anyone interested in attending the event should contact Randy Wherley at (765) 564-3009 for information.

Classy Classics EH

The March meeting of the Classy Classics Extension Homemakers Club was held at the home of Loretta Lambert with 11 members present.

The hostess gave devotions entitled "Whiner or Winner," pointing out that problems and trials teach us patience.

She also gave a serious lesson on "Little Old Ladies and Grumpy Old Men." The lesson emphasized being considerate and respectful to older people.

New officers and club committees for 2007 were announced.

Friends Day will be April 19 at the Burlington Community Building. The deadline for registering is April 10.

The social hour was spent assembling 19 care plates for shut-ins.

The next club meeting will be at the home of Melverine Hufty on April 9.

The attendance prize was awarded to Pat Rodgers.
