Betty L. Jones
Betty L. Jones, 72, of Flora, died at 5:20 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2007, at her residence.

Born Oct. 26, 1934, in Greeneville, Tenn., she was the daughter of Isaac I. and Lena Kathryn Paxton Ragan. She was married on July 21, 1950, in Flora, to Robert L. Jones, who survives.

Mrs. Jones had been employed at Gerber Plumbing in Delphi for 33 years, retiring in 1996.

She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church in Flora.

Most of all, she enjoyed taking care of her home, along with being with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening.

Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Brenda Mc- Cain (husband: Mark) of Kokomo and Debra Jones of Flora; two sisters, Aureta Ragan of Flora and Mary Parker of Cutler; two half-sisters, Janet Peters and Sharon Ragan, both of Delphi; a half-brother, Jeffery Ragan of Delphi; three grandsons, Steven Jones of Kokomo, Aaron Jones of Bringhurst, and Robert McCain of Kokomo; two granddaughters, Kari Bagwell of Bringhurst and Lynette Houser of Radnor; seven great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Houser, Jessie Jones, Jenna Jones, Victoria Bagwell, Christopher Jones, Christian Bagwell, and Troy Houser; and a sister-in-law, Bernice Faley of Greeneville, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Ann Jones, and a half-brother, Isaac Ragan Jr.

Services will be held today, Wednesday, at Valley View Baptist Church. Pastor Bill Godbey will officiate. Burial will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
