Who's most extraordinary of them all?
Comet staff report

Delphi Lions Club announced nominations are being accepted for the sixth annual Delphi Community School Corporation Teacher of the Year Award.

Each year the club presents the award to a teacher at the Delphi Community School Corporation who has made an extraordinary impact in the classroom by means of extra effort, outstanding skills or creative approach.

The club is actively soliciting nominations from parents, guardians, students, teachers, staff and administrators. Teachers may not nominate themselves.

Forms are available at the principal's office of each school or at the Delphi Comet office. Completed nominations should be returned to: Lions Teacher of the Year, 425N. 900W., Delphi, IN 46923.

In order to be eligible for the award, nominees must be board certified and actively teaching in a kindergarten to 12th grade class within DCSC.

The winner will receive a cash award, a winner's plaque and an invitation to the awards presentation at the Lions Club Awards Night in May. The winner's name will also be placed on the Teacher of the Year plaque housed in the Lions Club Den.
