Each year, March is designated as National Women's History Month to ensure that the history of American women will be recognized and celebrated in schools, workplaces, and communities throughout the country.

The theme for this year's observance is "Generations of Women Moving History Forward." This theme celebrates the wisdom of past and future generations of women. Moving History Forward is a process of people coming together for the greater good of society and confirms the idea that individuals working together can build a better, more compassionate world.

The 2007 Honorees nominated by the Women's History Project represent generations of women who have moved history forward and who have created new possibilities for the future. Find out more information about these amazing women and their contributions at the library.

The Saturday Morning Book Club will meet this Saturday morning at 10 a.m. to discuss "A Thousand Acres" by Jane Smiley. New members are always welcome.

The theme for the next storytime is Easter Bunnies. Little chicks, decorating eggs, and don't forget the bunny rabbits! Hop in to the library for some great bunny tales! Storytime is Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m. The library's Dial-a-Story is open 24 hours a day. The current story playing is, "Five Peas in the Pod." The story beginning Friday will be "The Little Hero." Call Dial-a-Story at 967-3814.11KS-Library news
