Extend a helping hand
Recently, Carroll County churches, the Brethren Charity Fund, individuals, and business owners donated bottled water, and paper products for individuals still struggling in the New Orleans area. Raymond Eikenberry of Eikenberry Trucking, left, donated the use of a large semi to transport the items and Mark Frey of Singletree Transportation, right, helped drive the truck and provided fuel for the trip. They are seen with Lou Banfalvi, the maintenance/project management manager at the New Orleans Mission where the items were taken. Kokomo Rescue Mission's former executive director Bob Cox is a friend of the director in New Orleans, and through their conversations, learned of the extended needs there.
