Schmelzer, Meyer pledge vows Forgeys to celebrate 25th
Chad Meyer and his bride, Melissa Schmelzer, are residing at 10471 Sand Creek Blvd., Fishers, following their spring wedding.
The double ring ceremony was held at 12:30 p.m. at Fishers United Methodist Church in Fishers. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Jim Holt, and her stepfather, Steve Schmelzer. Pastor Mike Leed officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Deb Holt of New Albany and Steve and Shelly Schmelzer of Anderson. Parents of the groom are Ron and Cindy Meyer of Monticello.
Maids of honor were Angie Schmelzer and Jenny Schmelzer, both of New Albany. Bridesmaids were Krys Keller of Carmel, Jaymie Toy of Loogootee, Julie Piper of Milwaukee, Wisc., and Kristen Roederer of Waverly, RI.
Brooklyn Agnew of Borden, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. The bride's nephews, Elliott Street of Carmel and Sebastian Toy of Loogooee were ring bearers.
Best man was Eric Meyer of Naples, Fla. Groomsmen were Sean Treece of Valparaiso, Micah Kohne of Denver, Colo., Joe Burns and Ben Snyder, both of Fishers, and Chris Lehrman of Brownsburg.
Serving as ushers were Chase Arnett of Fishers and Craig McMains of Indianapolis, both cousins of the groom.
Guest registrars were the groom's cousins, Kelly Mc- Mains and Kristy McMains, both of Indianapolis.
A reception followed the ceremony at the Indianapolis Yacht Club in McCordsville.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of New Albany High School and a 2003 graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She is employed as a project management associate at Concentrics Research LLC in Indianapolis.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of Twin Lakes High School. He graduated from Indiana University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in public affairs. He is employed as a buyer with Kenra LLC in Indianapolis.
The couple's wedding trip was to Nassau, Bahamas.
Michael and Katherine Forgey, 1627E 1250S, Galveston, will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary at an open house on March 4.
Hosted by their children, the event will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at Center United Methodist Church, 1125S, between 100 and 200E, Cass County.
Forgey and the former Katherine Harter were married on March 6, 1982, by the Rev. John Laprad at Lower Deer Creek Church of the Brethren, Camden.
He is a self-employed farmer, and she is a self-employed hairdresser.
They are the parents of four children, Seth, Spenser, and Shelbi, all at home, and Savannah of Young America.
The couple requests that gifts be omitted, but cards are welcome.
