Meagan M. Herron-Hughes

M e a g a n Marie Herron- Hughes, 18, passed away Feb. 22, 2007, at 8:04 p.m. at Logansport M e m o r i a l Hospital. She had been ill a short time, and was a patient there since Feb. 17.

She was born Dec. 24, 1988, in Lafayette, to Ann Herron Hughes.

Miss Herron-Hughes was a junior at Logansport High School.

She was a member of Delphi United Methodist Church and participated in Special Olympics and Logansport Girl Scouts.

She also enjoyed any outdoor activities, her high school creative art class and listening to rock music.

Surviving are her parents, Ann and Michael Hughes of Delphi; a sister, Destiny Hughes of Dunn, N.C.; her maternal grandparents, Frank and Sharon Herron of Delphi; her paternal grandfather, Joseph Schwartz (wife: Jana) of Brookston; her paternal grandmother, Nancy Parrott (husband: Larry) of Florida; her maternal great-grandmother, Helen Leftwich of Delphi; her maternal great-grandfoster parents, Mary and Harold Pearson of Flora; two paternal step-grandfathers, William Hughes and Robert "Bert" Stevens, both of Delphi; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Her maternal great-grandmother, Martha Wagoner, and her paternal step-grandmother, Debra Stevens, preceded her in death.

At 8:04 p.m. Thursday, she passed from our loving arms to God's grace and Jesus' loving arms, surrounded by her loving parents, family and friends.

Services were held Feb. 24 at Delphi United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Todd Ladd. Burial was at Masonic Cemetery in Delphi.
