Congratulations, Mary

Today is an anniversary of sorts for Camden correspondent Mary Whitfield. She has been writing Camden news for the Comet for 30 years.

She said she remembers the day that former Comet owner, the late Al Moss, came to her back door to talk to her about the job. She was taken aback that he came to the back door, but her next thought was "backdoor friends are our best friends."

"I'm looking forward to many more years with you (the Comet)," said Mary. "Wouldn't 20 more be neat? Oh well, however many will be wonderful."

Yes, Mary, we'd be happy with another 20!
