Rodney Paul Flora

Rodney Paul Flora, 67, of W e s Lafayette and former lifetime resident of the Flora area, died at 8:57 p.m.

Feb. 14, 2007, at St. Hospital, Lafayette. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette.

Born Dec. 4, 1939, in Logansport, he was the son of Paul Dana and Mary Elizabeth "Salley" Burns Flora.

A 1959 graduate of Flora High School, he worked at Chrysler Corporation, Kokomo, for 20 years.

He enjoyed "cruising" in his car and talking about airplanes.

He was always grateful to the Flora community and his family who helped him get through each day with their caring.

Surviving are one son, Jeffrey P. Flora (wife: Loretta) of Moundville, Ala.; four grandchildren, Dustin Paul Flora, Cody Paul Flora, Michael Paul Flora, and Kayla Ann Flora; stepgrandson, Walter Waddell; and a stepgreat-granddaughter, Tatum Waddell.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael J. Flora.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
