Pork Producer Banquet set for March 12

The Carroll County Pork Producers (CCPP) will hold their Annual Meeting and Banquet on March at the 4-H Community Building in Flora.

The evening will begin with a catered pork meal and all the trimmings at 6:30 p.m. CCPP President David Lambert will conduct the business meeting and an Indiana Pork Producers Association representative will give an update on the association's activities.

Lambert will present the Hog Slat - Pork Producer Memorial Scholarships to two Carroll County high school seniors. In addition, last year's scholarship winners, Aaron Flora and Jordan Scott, will receive their $500 awards. There will be many door prizes available to those in attendance.

The program for the evening will be the induction ceremony for the 2007 Class to the Carroll County Agriculture Hall of Fame. Carroll County Extension Agriculture Educator Paul Marcellino will conduct the ceremony.

"This event gives the Carroll County community an opportunity to spend an enjoyable evening while honoring those whom have contributed their efforts to Carroll County," said Marcellino.
