Story Time theme for the week of Feb. 25 is "Catching some Zzzss." Infants through preschool can come to hear stories about making nap time fun, hairy hibernating animals and sleepy time tales. Children must be accompanied by caregivers or a parent.

"Presidential Portraits," an exhibition of works by Tuesday Afternoon Drawing Students will hang in the Gerber Globe Valve Room Feb. 26 through March 19. The pencil sketches are a result of several weeks of portraiture study. Drawings of former U.S. presidents and first ladies were created by the 14 class artists.

Calling all quilters, knitting enthusiasts and spinners! Enjoy an evening with other crafters as you share tips and trade secrets at In Stitches Fiber Arts Circle. This informal gathering of crafters will meet Feb. 26 at 6:30 p.m. Please bring a project to work on and a snack to share with the group.

The Friends of Delphi Public Library's annual winter book will be March 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A special preview sale will be March 2 from 4 to 8 p.m. for members. Included in the sale is a wide assortment of fiction and non-fiction books, children books, videos and music CDs.

Southern Oblivion will be featured at the March 10, 7 p. m. Coffee Beat.

Flora-Monroe Township

Return the Borrowed Books Week is March 1- 7. Patrons who have overdue library books (that haven't gone to the collection agency) can return the books during this week and fines will be forgiven. The library asks that patrons bring non-perishable goods in exchange for the forgiven fines. The donations will be given to the Carroll County Food Pantry.

Learn to explore the Internet at the library on Thursday, March 1 at 10 a.m. "Basic Internet" is a hands-on introductory class that covers navigational tools and basic search techniques. Use of a mouse is required. The goal of this class is to provide the student with enough information and practice to feel comfortable using search engines and web addresses to find information on the Internet. Register (required) for this free class by calling the library at 967-3912. Basic Internet is offered as part of the Cabin Fever Winter Reading Program.

Celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday at the library! Read Across America is celebrated throughout the country on March 2 (Dr. Seuss' birthday.)

The next storytime theme is "Dr. Seuss." To honor the good doctor and celebrate reading we will have classic Dr. Seuss stories and characters. Join us for storytime on Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m.

The library's Dial-a-Story is open 24 hours a day. The current story playing is, "George Washington and the Cherry Tree." The story beginning Friday will be "George Washington and the Colt." Call Dial-a-Story at 967-3814.
