Bucknell diver Jeffrey Manning honored by ECAC

After being named the Patriot League's Male Diver of the Week earlier in the day, Bucknell men's swimming and diving sophomore Jeffrey Manning of Bringhurst earned recognition as the Eastern College Athletic Conference Male Diver of the Week. The announcement was made Feb. 6.

In the non-scored Bison Invitational Feb. 3, Manning won both diving events. He moved up to second in Bucknell history with a career-best mark of 270.90 to place first on the one-meter board and scored 268.60 points in three-meter diving on his way to another victory.

The sophomore is currently ranked in the top-10 in the Patriot League for both diving events heading into the 2007 Patriot League Championships. The three-day PL meet will be held in Bucknell's Kinney Natatorium beginning on Feb. 15, with the first session slated to begin at 10:30 a.m.

Manning is a 2005 graduate of Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School and was a three-time sectional and one-time regional diving champ there. The Patriot League is composed of Bucknell (Div. 1), Army, Navy, Holy Cross, Lehigh, Lafayette, Colgate and American University.
