Wayne G. Deeds, 87, of South Bend, died Feb. 6, 2007, at his home following an illness. He was born in Cutler to Hobart and Edith (Cook) Deeds on June 21, 1919. He graduated from Cutler High School in 1937. He is survived by his children, Kathy Niblick (husband: Charles) of South Bend and Joseph Whitaker (wife: Deborah) of Tulsa, Okla., along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Dorcas (Dot) L. Goins, and three sisters. Services were Feb. 10 in South Bend.
