Harold R. Conner

Harold R. "Poppy" Conner, 75, of Delphi, died Feb. 7, 2007, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 21, 1931, to Paris Monroe and Minnie Baker Conner in Winamac. He married Barbara A. Herbert in 1955 and she preceded him in death in 1995. On Dec. 23, 2001, he married Gwen Weis, and she survives.

He retired in 1996 from Rostone in Lafayette after 26 years in the mix department.

An Air Force veteran, he was a member of Hickory Grove Church.

Surviving are a son, Larry Turner (wife: Cindy) of Monticello; two daughters, Sandra Conner Delucca (husband: Raymond) of Logansport and Sue Turner Watjen of Greencastle; four stepsons including Jerry Weis of Camden; a brother; a sister; 25 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services and burial were held Feb. 10 in Lafayette.
