Berenice J. Miller

Berenice J. Miller, 86, of Cutler, died at 1:56 a.m. Feb. 9, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital M e d i c a C e n t e r Lafayette.

Born March 11, 1920, in Carroll County, she as the daughter of Carl D. and Bethel Gee Overholser. Her marriage was on Feb. 2, 1941, to Albert Ray Miller, who preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1998.

A lifelong resident of Carroll County, she graduated from Cutler High School in 1939 and from Huffer's Beauty College.

Mrs. Miller was a hair dresser for 60 years. She owned and operated Miller's Beauty Shop.

She was a former member of the Ball Hill Church and was a current member of the Geetingsville Presbyterian Church. She was a former member of the Extension Homemakers.

She enjoyed playing the organ and hard work.

Surviving are one son, Carroll Miller (wife: Norma) of Cutler; one daughter, Karen Vaughn of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Natalie Miller of Houston, Texas, Annette Miller of West Lafayette, and Clint Miller of Cutler; and three brothers, Robert Overholser (wife: Phyllis) of Bringhurst, Max Overholser (wife: Doris) of Flora, and Dean Overholser (wife: Donna) of Delphi.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Benjamin Overholser.

Services were held Tuesday at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville, with Pastor Teri Thorn officiating. Burial was at Rossville Cemetery.
