Camden Beth Snoeberger's Valentine collection is being displayed in the children's room display case at the Camden Library during February. Anyone wishing to share their memorabilia for Marsh is asked to contact one of the library staff. Camden's 175th anniversary committee meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 15 at the United Methodist Church. All interested persons are invited. Camden Brownies will meet Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the Community Building to leave together for a roller skating party in Lafayette. They expect to return at 3:30 p.m. Those attending are asked to wear their full uniform - all white shirt, khaki pants, and all badges on sash - and take money for snacks. A fellowship carry-in dinner will follow Sunday School Feb. 18 at the Baptist Church. Everyone is welcome. Camden Preservation Society will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Fireman's Lounge. This is a change in meeting date. Plans for the annual meeting will be made. A teachers in-service day will be held Friday at Camden Elementary School. There will be no classes for students. Camden Woman's Literary Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Reading Room at the Camden Library. The program will be "American Roots: The Many Faces of Old Glory." Hostesses will be Katie Cree and Becky Lain. Girl Scout Cookie sales pickup will be from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Community Building. Brownies will meet from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Camden Council of Churches met last Thursday at St. Peters Lutheran Church with six president. Plans were made for Good Friday and Easter Sunrise services. The next meeting will be March 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Baptist Church. Gene and Doris Harter recently saw a bald eagle fly over the Wabash River at the Lockport Bridge. |
